Erin McAfee is a Washington, DC - based professional musician and visual artist. A classically trained flutist, Erin has performed as a soloist and ensemble musician in orchestras, wind bands, chamber groups, and festivals both nationally and abroad. Throughout her career as a musician, she has experienced the great honor of being selected as a performer for masterclasses with renowned flutists William Bennett, Lorna McGhee, Judith Mendenhall, Bonita Boyd, Marina Piccinini, and Ransom Wilson, among others. In 2025, Erin finalized her graduate studies at the University of Washington under the tutelage of renowned flutist and teacher, Donna Shin. Erin currently performs with the DCFlutes under the direction of Aaron Goldman and Sandra Ragusa.

Outside of playing flute professionally, Erin enjoys teaching music to students of all ages, creating visual art, practicing guitar, and spending time with her two cats, Fred and George! She also works at Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center in Wheaton, MD where she assists with instrument rentals for young students in the DMV.
